With the newly updated online .mac email application came a handy little button for "report as spam". Do all junk emails reported in the fashion get added to some database on the .mac servers?

I've always tried to report spam that I receive on my desktop to spam@mac.com but it's multi-part process. If this button on the online version really reports spam it could possibly help reduce the amount of spam that .mac email accounts receive.

With the spam email highlighted, click on Actions, then Mark as Junk. It will be moved to your junk folder, where the option to report as spam will show up. One thing I don't think is automatic, is to show long headers. Any spam filter needs the headers to be able to do anything about the offending item, so I always click on Show Long Headers before i Report as Spam.

Hope this helps!
