I just put leopard on my Dual 800 Quicksilver and i am getting a process called ReportCrash running constantly and eating up 80-100% of the little cpu i have. I tried quitting via activity monitor but it will just start up again a second later

I searched and found other people had this problem and the solution was an incompatible program most of the time...they looked through their crash log to diagnose which program it was, i don't understand the crash logs but i can post mine if anybody could help

it says the finder crashed on the top of the log

heres the part where it says thread crashed towards the bottome

On my Mac running Leopard, ReportCrash only uses tons of CPU whenever an app is about to crash (as opposed to a temporary freeze). It does that every time.

I've also found that quitting won't work. Quitting ReportCrash starts up another ReportCrash on a system account. Quitting it again quits it and the crashing app.

i guess ill just put panther back on this POS it will probably run better anyway because its so old
