[REQ] App with a Floating Toolbar that enters text?

I am looking for an app to help me type names. I have tried using TextExpander but I have a large list so by the time I think about and type the abbreviation it's almost faster to just type it in. TypeIt4me looks like it has an option to select snippets the menu bar but if you are making a list of names it's double the clicking to add each name if you have to click the menu first.

I would like to find a solution that has a floating window or HUD that I can just look and click. Ideally with similar options to TextExpander.
I have been able to setup a workflow using "Keypad" for iOS but that involves using my iPad and VNC.

Has anyone heard of a mac app that might work?
