iPhone 17 (Request) iPhone 17 vs iPhone 17 Pro microphone quality

Can anybody who owns both record a snippet of a pop song with the built-in voice memos app please?

I can’t find any direct comparison online. I’m trying to decide which to buy. I find the 17 pro too ugly but might go with it depending on the audio quality. Coming from a 13 pro. Bonus if you also have a 17 air laying around…

I tested this yesterday between my 17 Pro Max (which is now sold) and my new Air. I could not hear a difference but this could just be me.

I only have a 17 PM on hand, but I hope this can give you an idea, the Video Recording section on Apple’s website can paint some what of a picture of microphone capability.

The base 17 seems to be mostly similar except I am assuming it has 1 less mic possibly compared to Pro, this may make a difference overall, the Pro may be able capture more details:

Unless I’m wrong, they’re usually vary vague and do not say if those mics are actually the same models. That’s why I wanted to hear direct comparison. As for the bonus microphone in the pros, I’m guessing it must be on the back for video recording?
