Hi everyone :)

Does anyone know of such a program? That will extract MP3 audio out of an AVI video file I have?

I have this live music performance AVI, and I'd really like to save the audio only from it. Is this do-able?

Many thanks in advance! :)

If you have Quicktime Pro you can use Export->Sound to Wave, and then reencode it in iTunes.

That will cause a loss in quality though… :(

Thanks, but do you have a link? I can only find WireTap PRO, and I am really looking for freeware... It's not like I do this kinda thing often enough to justify purchasing WireTap PRO or I would.

For now I used the demo version to record it into AIFF, and used iTunes to convert to MP3. Worked pretty alright! But I think I kinda Mickey-Mouse'd it :D Since WireTap PRO won't let me change any default options or settings without buying the full version, I'd like to see if there is anyone out there that knows of a good freeware that will do what I need...

Thanks :)
