Require Password only when pressing standby, but not auto-standby?

Is it possible to have my iphone require a password only when I press the standby/power button, but still enter auto-standby after a period of non-use (but not require a password)?

Basically, if I don't press anything, i'd like the phone to enter standby and not ask for a password. But if I press the standby button, I'd like to be asked for a password.
