Hey all,
Has anyone had experiencing selling a refurb? Have you found that the resale value is lower than a non-refurb used? Debating whether to buy a refurbished unit, but not sure if it’s worth it if the savings are adjusted for in resale. I should also point out that I plan to upgrade again when the mini-led comes out.

thanks,

Used is used regardless of what condition you bought it in. If you're including the original box in the resale, it says "Apple Certified Refurbished" on it. Most trade-in sites don't ask if it's refurbished either; you're still selling used equipment.

No difference in selling a used computer, whether it was a refurb or new, as they come with the same warranty and pass the same quality inspections.

On eBay and other sites, the fact that Apple gear is 'refurbished' doesn't seem to make much difference in the final value realized. On this site's Marketplace, however, it seems it often does. I recently had a refurb 2019 MacBook Air (high-spec) languish for weeks without attention, while other 'used' items I've sold here went rather quickly.

Aren't all computers sold here "used" though?

Were you trying to sell a refurb in the box it came in without opening it?
