I will be purchasing a MacBook this summer, and I am thinking of getting the 7200RPM drive over the 5400.

I just realized that the 7200RPM option isn't available on the MacBooks! What's the deal with that? Anyway by summer they'll likely change the options.

What kind of credence would you give to this article:

Basically it shows that the 7200RPM drives are considerably faster than the 5400's.
 
The 7200 drives are not way faster than say the 320GB WD 5400 due to the fact the 320GB only has two platters
so data density is greater,than across the three platters which the 7200's have

Try searching around there's loads of posts on this issue
