My iphone is ready and my pick up time is for Saturday, tomorrow. But has anyone gone earlier than their reserved time and waited in the non-reservation line?

Obviously don't want to cut in line for reservations but I wonder if waiting with the non-reservations would work?

Up to the store, how busy they are if they have the stock on hand. Won't hurt to try.

Depending on the store and how busy they are. If there is no one, they may let you, as long as the e-mail says it's ready for pick up.

I talked to an Apple rep and he said as long as it says ready for pickup you can. And that the purpose of the reservation time is to cut down on the lines and to expedite your pickup. I’m in the same boat.

FYI, just picked mine up. Not busy at all, about 4 people when I got there at noon. They scanned my barcode and looked at my timeframe but not the date. Before I could even explain I was a day early, I was already being ushered to another employee to get my phone.

Glad you got yours a day early on launch day~. Apple Store near me was literally quiet, it's an express pick up only setting with 4 check in windows. When I got there I got there 45 minutes earlier than my actual time. There were no lines, only 1 was at the check in window, and I was literally next in line. I was in and out in 5 minutes.
