Reservations at the Apple Store for 4S - possible?

Now I remember a little more clearly...last year, I had a reservation to pick up a 4 at the Apple Store (had two, actually, one for me and one for the wife).

Did they just not offer that this year since you could order online? Is there some way to do that? Is it too late?
