in small print on the confirmation email, it states "Pre-authorization does not guarantee iPhone availability at an Apple Retail Store. iPhone is sold on a first-come, first-served basis."

Does this mean it is possible not to get your iphone if one were to go to the store an hour before it closes on June 24? Even though they reserved a phone?

well pre-authorization I'm assuming means if you are authorized for the sale price... which has nothing to do with reserving a phone for instore pickup

very cool. Just wanted to make sure my sister and my friends do not get hosed. I know they will be picking up their reserved iphones mid day.
