iPad Reserved an iPad Air from Apple Store Hong Kong!

Apple opened reservation for buying iPad Air on the launch day today at 8:00am for the 3 Apple Stores in Hong Kong. We must reserve a unit by sending an SMS to a designated local number, getting a confirmation code and entering it onto the system together with our Photo ID / full name / phone number information. Then I got to a screen for choosing models and finally the time slot.
This is the same as the reservation for iPhone 5s before and is quite effective in deterring scalpers from mainland China. However, demand seems to be very very strong since all models ran out of stocks within 10 minutes!

I saw some people reporting to have reserved the WiFi version on forums. But when I logged in at around 8:02am I can't see any WiFi models anymore for the ifc store.

The wifi ones went up around 9:20am. I managed to reserve mine at IFC. waiting for confirmation email....

Do you have a confirmation email from Apple? I haven't reserved online before, do I just turn up at the Apple store and give them my government ID?
I received the confirmation e-mail at 8:23am.
On the launch day usually the Apple Stores will require the buyers to queue up and show the ID card / passport etc. (with Photo) before allowing them to enter the store to buy the product. The name you entered to the reservation system must be exactly the same as your photo ID.
After that I was led to the cashier and the staff just gave me the model I selected and I paid and left the store.

Can I turn up early? I selected a pickup time or 7-8pm but now have the day off work. Was thinking about heading over there around mid afternoon

You can only get your iPad at the store and at the time you selected.

You can still order from the online store on 1 Nov 12am or go back to the Apple Store reserve website after the launch!
But how about the rest of today and tomorrow? No more reservation possible you think?

Im from the UK, but I'm traveling to HK on Sunday 10th Nov. If I'm able to purchase for instore pickup how long will they hold the iPad in stock.
In other words can I order today and collect it next week?

You should now be able to walk into an apple store and buy the ipad air. No need to order for in store collection.

If they are out of stock, there are many other places you can buy from. Seems plenty of stock in Hong Kong
Thanks for the response. I'll be transiting through HK. If the Apple store has no stock available could you recommend somewhere else I could try near the IFC Mall please?
