This might not be news but it's certainly new enough that I thought I'd let everyone know. I called one of my local Apple Stores on Tuesday night looking for an iPhone 5. Naturally, they were out but the specialist recommended going to http://www.apple.com/retail/iphone after 10PM to reserve an iPhone for pickup the next day. Around 10:30 that night, I logged on and was able to find one in stock at another Apple Store about 15 minutes from me. So I went through the process and by 8AM the next morning, I'd received an email notification that my pickup was ready.
So, yeah.. just a recommendation for anyone unwilling to wait the 3-4 weeks for the online store.
