Reserved phone through IUP

Hi I reserved a phone through the iup this morning I've never used an iphone before but I want to switch after reviewing the email it states that I need to bring my old iphone in will this stop me from getting my phone? as I have never used the iup program before

It shouldn't. I reserved through iup and used att next to purchase the phone. I was never an iup customer.
