Reset a VM Windows Admin Password

Does anyone know how to reset a Windows XP Administrator Password running in VM Fusion on a MacBook? I haven't used the VM in a while and forgot the password, but have some files I would like to recover from the VM and would prefer not to reinstall. I am not highly technical, so please include clear steps.
