Hi everyone,

I have a few apps on my iPhone that have gone bonkers a few weeks ago... they worked for a while, but then one day, they decided to crash and never re-open!. Every time I try to launch the app, it opens, then goes right back to the home screen. I tried to quit the task with the multi-tasking quit feature, but to no avail. Is there a way to reset just one app's setting to default without erasing data I put into it? kinda like the .plist file in the preferences of the Mac OS.

thanks!

does deleting the app then re-installing it work?

Yes, but I am getting tired of doing that. It isn't that much of a hassle actually, but it just seems like resetting preferences wouldn't be that hard... but maybe it is!

Also for one of the apps, a family member purchased it on my iPhone, and I don't know their password. if I delete it, I can't get it back without asking them. awfully nice of them ;)
