I have an old 5S that I was giving to a friend. I sighed out of iCloud and did the erase all content and settings thing. My friend put in their SIM and signed into iCloud, everything works fine. Problem is, my "recent contacts" are still showing up. You know, how if you frequently text "John Smith" if you type "J" it will appear as a suggestion?

This is extremely concerning because, as I mentioned, this phone was wiped. Yea, you can individually go into a recent and hit "remove", but where is it even coming from? Does that mean all the phones I've wiped and sold over the years have showed my contacts to whoever got it next?

If so, how is this not a huge security hole?

What do I need to do to wipe them all at once?

Erase all content and settings, after signing out of iTunes, iCloud and iMessage.

when it came back up, I set up as a new iPhone, not from a backup.
