Just a quick question... If I reset an iphone to factory settings, just to erase everything and start over, will it reset to the original ios that was on the phone (iphone 4) or will it go to the current update?

Settings > General > Reset > Reset all content and settings will delete everything from the iPhone and set it back to factory settings, but it will stay on whatever version of iOS is currently installed on the phone.

Don't try this if the phone is jailbroken, you'll be forced to restore the phone and update to the most recent version of iOS.

No, it's not a jailbroken. Actually the problem is that it was updated to ios 7, I think, from the original ios that came on the phone. This was done awhile ago and over time it has just generally slowed down and is low on space, even after deleting texts and pictures. I was hoping that if it was restored to factory settings, it would erase the update and go back to the original. But it might help to restore it anyway. Thank you!
