The Golden State
Hello

I'm following up on another thread (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/not-able-to-download-app-after-testflight.2463454), but I'm now following another idea. Basically, I'm stuck trying to download an app that I had before - it shows the cloud/arrow icon on the App Store but is not downloaded/installed when clicking on it. The icon only flickers briefly.

I have tried some of the "usual things" (signing out and in, restarting, using a different user account, a different App Store account), but nothing is working. Would there be a way to reset all of the App Store caches (I have manually thrashed 3 Library folders (2 user, 1 system-level, if I remember correctly)).

Is there a more complete way to reset the App Store? Maybe that would help, Any other ideas, I'd be very happy too of course.

I should also mention that I'm on the latest public beta for Tahoe, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks!!

Thanks - I thought about that 🙂. One question before I do this, how will I be able to reinstall App Store after?

Hi again, thanks!!

Just tried this (deleting both App Store and TestFlight, emptying the Trash, restarting the Mac). When I then start the App Store I get the intro splash screen. The only difference now is that when I click on the app I want to download, there's the "rotating circle" for a few seconds - the icon then goes back to cloud/arrow, but the app is not downloaded.

So maybe it's something else, nut just an App Store problem. Thanks a lot for sharing ideas!!
