Reset phone - Auto dimming broken

I completely erased all content and settings on my 4s running 6.0.1. After restoring everything from iCloud, the auto dimming feature no longer works. In a dark room, the phone is way too bright and it stays bright. In settings I have auto-brightness on. Is there a reason why it doesn't adjust for the ambient light?

iOS 6 has a learning function to the the dimmer. If you set it at a preferred brightness in a certain lightning condition it will always select that brightness setting even if its too bright for the location.

Its not a bug but a difference in how it functions. Read the link I posted to correct it.
