reset SMC from Terminal

missing power key and touching and holding the little dot under the missing key is difficult just to start up let alone 10 sec hold.
is there a way to reset the SMC from Terminal after Safe or the like?
MBA 2013 on High Sierra.
Even though batt health seems pretty good for age, every now and then it shuts down even with >50% charge and won't restart without plugging back in.
