I am switching computers (new MBP) and my bluetooth keyboard won't pair with the new Mac. It sometimes sees it in the list (bluetooth Setup Assistant). I have tried unpairing it from the old Mac, but can't figure out a way to get it to pair.
When I had a similar problem previously I played around with it (for ages) until finally it started to do the multiple fast flashes (indicating that it was discoverable and ready for pairing). I can't seem to get it to this state - I press the button and it is a steady light that turns off and stays off. I want to reset it. Been searching everywhere.
I have tried:
1) Holding the button down for various lengths - including 30+ seconds.
2) Unpairing from previous MBP
3) rebooting a lot.
My mouse did pair fine - it just took a pin in the reset button (opened the battery cover) ... I sure wish this keyboard had a reset button...
