Hi guys,

I've got a 2008 13" MacBook Pro that I'd like to reset to factory settings, or as near as.

It came with Leopard and I upgraded to Snow Leopard, but I still have the Leopard restore discs.

How would I go about resetting this to factory settings, is it possible to downgrade OS? Or, can I just do a wipe and install from the Snow Leopard disc, keeping iLife?

Ta very much.

If you want to continue with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and also have the second grey Restore DVD from the Mac (where iLife resides), then just do a clean install from the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Upgrade DVD and install iLife from the second grey Restore DVD.

To create a Clean Install (formerly known as Erase & Install) of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, follow one of the following guides:
Short version: Clean Install of OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
Long version: Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard: How to Erase and Install
