OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 Beta - Unable to use primary user account as it appears to be corrupt (Finder not responding). Even in safe mode Finder not responding under this user account. Created an new user account and everything works - including Finder. Is there a way to reset user permissions in El Capitan? Using previous version Cmd-R -> resetpassword from Terminal doesn't work.

It's as if something happened with permissions yesterday. I woke up this morning and a few apps were giving me problems with permissions. But here's the thing, I had not upgraded to El Capitan at that point. I upgraded tonight and no additional problems, but I wonder what happened that caused permissions to go whack. I've seen other users having this problem today.
