Hi All,

I have a older 2G iPhone I want to sell, but obviously before doing so I want to delete the data on the phone. I made the mistake of upgrading the version and it has locked the phone down wanting a SIM card. Is there a way for me to do a hard reset on the phone without putting a SIM in it somehow? When I connect to itunes it says to put in a SIM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At this point the only SIM I have is the one in my 3G, but I don't think I can put that in and activate it without being charged in some way.

Thanks.

You can unlock it and that will enable it to be used with no SIM.
