I've been using multiple displays and "Screens have different spaces" for years, and I really like how the recent versions of macOS is able to make handling of displays easy.

One problem, however is that I find myself having to manually reset apps' default display or desktop often. I don't really know what's the cause, but it could be disabling displays, switching 'mirror displays' on/off or something.

Anyway, I'd love it if there was a way to set any and all apps to be locked to one display, one desktop, and then I could customize it from there. A terminal commmand, perhaps?

Thanks in advance.
