Hey all
Today I've started having a very strange issue. Whenever my computer boots up, it sets the date to December/January of 2000. I have to go in and manually change it or else my apps run wild. How Y2K. Any idea how I can fix this or what might be causing it?

I got my Macbrook Pro 13" baseline model in October.

Yeah I'm in 10.6.6. Would it just start doing this randomly? Its freaking Chrome out something awful.

Don't think it's 10.6.6 as it only really brought the App Store and didn't provide much compared to other updates. I'd try to reset your PRAM.

i've been reading some posts and many people say that 10.6.6 has sleep/wake issues and also other issues so i thought the problem is connected somehow

anyways
like ^^ said, try resetting your PRAM

My iMac (late 2009) suddenly did the same thing today... I started it up this morning and the date was changed to 2000, it also wouldn't connect to my AEBS. Very strange... I rebooted the AEBS and rebooted the iMac twice. And now, it seems to be OK.

P.S.: Running Mac OS X 10.6.6

My air did this often. I think it was when it came unpllugged and the battery drained all the way.
