I am selling an ipad and want to totally blank it out. I have seen several tutorials online that say if you go to 'General' / 'Reset' / 'Erase all settings' that it will accomplish this. However, after I did it, the ipad still has my AT&T 3g info stored. My 3g phone number, my name and address, my credit card number. That doesn't sound a complete reset and erase to me.

Any advice on how to completely purge old data and personal information? After I did the "complete" erase, I hooked it up to itunes and set it up as a new ipad, but it did not do any more to delete the info.

Thanks.

I deleted my AT&T account and then did the reset again and it seemed to do the trick. The phone number still shows up but my personal info appears to be gone. Is it?

Restore to factory settings in iTunes?
