And so it was, I set a master password when enabling file vault.. however later when I decided to change the master password to something else, it kept telling me I got it wrong (pretty unlikely!)

But anyway, how do I reset it? Best have it functional in case the moment comes when i REALLY need it...
 
I'm pretty sure (not 100% though) that FileVault was designed so that the master password could not be reset, in an effort to keep your files safe. Otherwise, you might try booting from the OS X install disk and using their password reset utilities. :)
