I've been getting these continually SENSE CODE=Medium, SENSE KEY= 0x0C errors every time I try to burn a DVD ever since I installed Toast Titanium on my MBP. Now this errors pops up when I try to burn anything on my Mac using any program, even the built in programs. Some people blame this error on bad media but I'm sure that isn't the problem in my case. So yeah, I think resetting my System Management Controller will do the trick but I wanted to know whether everything on my hard drive will be erased when I do this? Will I have to do a full system restore after this?

I can tell you the MBP's SuperDrive is very fussy with it's media.
Verbatim who also manufacturer's Apple's own are the only ones guaranteed to work every time.

If you like to try resetting the SMC, be my guest and here's the link for the instructions.
