Okay.. my friends looked at some bad sites on my computer. not the time for jokes, I didnt. I am embarrassed to even have that stuff on my computer. Okay, I reset safari, but I found out even after you do that you can still view all the history in terminal with this code: (leopard only)
dscacheutil -cachedump -entries Host

I found out you can clear it with this:
dscacheutil -flushcache

why would apple have such a flaw in there "reset" safari..
Is there anything else im missing to clear all of the history? I dont want any trace of the sites on my computer.

Yeah It would.

Dude just don't worry about it. It's not like it was something illegal now was it?

no it was pr0n.. but I really dont want any of that on my computer..

i noticed these directories only went back a week or so.. i guess the only thing that can clear everything is time

If you click History > Clear History in Safari, it empties this folder:
user/library/caches/metadata/safari/history

Are you sure you have all the proper boxes checked when you reset Safari?

yea i did.

reset your safari, then type the terminal code i provided in the first post. it shows all the history even though it is "deleted"

i guess your right. i would just be so embarrassed if someone found it.

thanks for the help everyone! :)

no one is going to go digging into all of that to find it really.
and honestly? its porn. people look at it.

If it's parents checking just say it was friends looking and if your parents trust you it'll be fine. It's ok if you watch it, it's some good stuff huh? :p
