What's the deal with Sonoma putting resize handles on the desktop edges? If you click the desktop and then move your cursor to the edge of the screen, you get a resize cursor. If you click and drag while you have that cursor, you can drag a kind of dead space over your desktop - no borders, no content, nothing.

Here's a video with a few back and forth mouse movements to show the change in cursor, then a demonstration of what happens when you click and drag.

The dead space is just that - dead space. It's completely non-interactive. Windows and widgets display over it, but desktop icons are hidden under it. There is no right-click within the dead space. There is also no drag to select. There is nothing.

I've tried toggling various settings to see what might be causing it, but no matter what I enable or disable (Stage Manager, "Click wallpaper to reveal desktop," etc.), the behavior is unaffected.

Is this some new feature I don't understand, or is this a bug? Did Apple just forget to force the desktop full-screen in this build? :D
