Resizing a photo for uploading to a website.

Hey guys,

I got this picture I'm trying to attach to an Etsy Conversation, but the original I got straight off of the memory card is a 2304 x 3072, and the biggest size that can be uploaded there is 2048 x 2048 according to the site. So I need to reduce it/save it smaller or whatever else so it fits on there.

I know there's a ridiculously simple solution to this but I'm embarrassingly ignorant when it comes to most picture related tasks for digital being as I am a film groupie, so I need your help. I could always put it on imageshack and give the person a link, but then I'd never learn how to do this, right ?

Export from iPhoto and define your pixel dimensions in the dialog box.

Open the image in Preview and use Tools->Adjust size

There are a billion ways to do this. The easiest is probably to use Preview. Just drag your photo into Preview, then choose "adjust size" from the tools menu. Then save, and you're good to go.
