resizing movies

I tryed to resize a movie using isquint and was not able to make is small enought to send.
Size of the movie I was working on is 154 MB .
Which demention I have to choose for making the movie smaller ?
Do not have experience of working on such projects.

What are your dimensions? Are they for work or web sharing content?

you can still use isquint, or try ffmpegx. just to make sure you change bitrate to about 8% of its current level, which should reduce the file size to ~10mb.
