In the continuing saga of this early 2006 iMac, the user decided to do away with a partition on the HDD in order to resize it. Here's the specs.
As stated early 2006 iMac
4 TB Hybrid, 2.5 TB 10.6, 1 TB 10.7, and the rest 10.8 with MLPF per this forum.
Now, since the user isn't using 10.6 anymore, they wanted to transfer the excess space over to 10.8, but in so doing they went to Disk Utility and erased the 10.6 partition. But now that old 10.6 partition is greyed out and they can't resize it.
Any suggestions? The important data is backed up so in case this needs to get dirty we're ok.
