Resizing photo like Vista Word

In text edit I want to be able to resize photos from the web to thumbnails (like you can in Vista using Word) but I do not want to lose the actual picture size.

We use the document images for projection thru LCD, so we only want to reduce the size for my notes, but allow large sizing for projection from the same document.
