Okay, I'm quite particular about my window sizes and things, and I hate having to resize them. I wish they would remain that size for that resolution, and if the resolution is changed, they can be resized and that size only affects that resolution. Following me? No? Let me explain with an example:

I'm planning to buy an external display (23" seems adequate) to plug into my MacBook Pro, so when I'm at my desk I have a proper work station (keyboard, mouse) to work on things like Photoshop, Final Cut Pro etc. Now, when I plug in an external display with a higher resolution, all my windows remain the same size as they were before I plugged in the display. So I have to resize them all (Safari etc). Then, when I want to go on the road, and load up say Safari, the window is wrongly sized for my screen and I have to resize it again.

So basically, what I want is to be able to have my window sizes set for one resolution, and when I plug my display in that has a higher resolution, have my windows revert to the sizes I want for that?

Any sort of application that could help this work?
