Problem: No sound in Windows Vista even after installing the Boot Camp drivers found on the Mac OS X Leopard install disc. Additionally, updating Vista via the Windows Update application (even updating to SP1) fails to fix the problem.

Resolution: Download and install the Boot Camp 2.1 drivers for Vista (64-bit here, 32-bit here).

Thought this might help others in the same situation as me. My 24" iMac was fixed after doing this.

My issue is the opposite - despite the Keyagent and MacHal install failures, I have sound in Vista 64 with SP1 installed with Boot Camp 2.0. BUT.... when I upgrade Boot Camp 2.1 - the sound is gone... any suggestions? (I also don't have the systray icon)...
I have a iMac 24", 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 256MB and 1 TB drive.
