MacBook Pro 2009, running SL 10.6.8 can't enable file sharing. I highlight the File Sharing item in the SystemPreferences/Sharing panel and it will not enable on clicking on that box. The box stays unchecked. I can enable other items, printer sharing etc.
Any ideas? Would like to share files with a Mac Mini on the LAN (File sharing can be enabled on the Mac Mini). Mac Mini 2011 is running Lion 10.7.2.
What prefence files to delete or other solution?
Have seen other examples of this on various forums, no answers so far.:apple::eek:
I resolved this isuue by changing 2 settings in the Security preference pane; Disable location services, checkbox was clicked, unclicked it, and Use secure virtual memory - unclicked this too. Not sure which fixed the issue, probably the location services.
