Hello,

I posted this in another thread but haven't received an answer yet so I may have put it in the wrong place. I also searched but haven't found anyone with this particular problem.

When I updated to 10.7.1 my external hard drives stopped appearing on the desktop. They show up in finder and programs that need to access them have no problem doing so. I have all the correct options checked off so that they should show up.

Any one else having this issue or know of a way to to fix the issue?

finder - preferences - select the drives you want to appear on your desktop

i pity the new users switching from windows. they will probably never know the best feature about mac os.. finding your external drives on your desktop! come on apple?
