Edited to add that this has been resolved, I think I needed to be more patient and let the indexing do it's thing a little longer than expected! I also added and removed the whole HD from Privacy in Spotlight.
I'm running Mojave and it's worked fine until today.
Whilst trying to sort a problem out with Time Machine being stuck on Preparing Backup, another problem has now occurred.
After cleaning the system with Onyx, I am no longer able to search my emails in the Mail app and my Smart Mailboxes are all empty.
I've tried adding the Mail folder to the Privacy Pane in Spotlight, and then removing it, but when I go to add the Mail folder there is a red circle on it.
I've tried unchecking Mail in the Spotlight preferences and adding it again as well.
I've also tried to re-index spotlight though the Terminal without success.
Not being able to search through 8,000 emails is a real pain having to do it manually!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
