Hi, mac newbie needing some help. Through searching around here for an hour or so I think the problem I'm having is to do with resource forks... essentially i transfer hi-res photos from my camera and I see them in full resolution in Cover Flow within Finder. Then after photoshopping out the double chin etc, the preview in Cover Flow is crap, even though the file is fine when opened.

So I'm thinking that photoshop is saving a thumbnail version of the file in a resource fork and this is shown in Finder instead of the hi-res version of the file.

Is that right?
I prefer the prettier full resolution version, can Finder show that instead?
Is it a Finder setting?
Do I need to remove / delete the resource fork?

According to some posts it seems the resource fork might be a useful tool (to people who know how to use it). So without too much technical detail, is it possible to give a short description on why i should perhaps not be so eager to confine all my resource forks to waste?

Oh, one more... giving away my pcness here but I was wondering if there's a simple view / finder tool that allows rotation of photos without needing to use editing software (ala filmstrip in pc land).

Help greatly appreciated...
