I'd say more often than not whenever I need to restart my MBP or shut it down, i get that message telling me that something went wrong and I need to hold down the power button and then push it again to turn it on. Brand new MBP and it is really the only issue / complaint I have. It isn't EVERY time but it is probably more often than not. Is this just something that they all do or is something wrong here? (I hardly ever shutdown or restart, I usually just close it up and let it sleep) ...so it's not like it is THAT big of a problem but if something is wrong i would like to know.

something is wrong with your machine. i would recommend reinstalling OSX from the install discs that came in the box with your computer. if that doesnt help, i would recommend calling apple and/or taking it in to the apple store.
