When I check the Health app I see only one reading for resting heart rate per day. I thought it was supposed to check every 10 minutes?

Does it only keep the latest reading?

What do you have?

Mine started off at 42 bpm at 5AM this morning and it's just crept up to 43 bpm (it's pretty low, I run quite a lot). It only keeps the latest/ single reading per day. The Watch obviously does take multiple readings of your heart rate each day, but it only keeps one of them for the resting reading. I don't know what algorithm Apple uses to define 'resting', but presumably it's when you have been inactive for some time.

It records your HR about every 10 minutes. You RHR is the lowest continues reading for that day so it is a one time event. It is a lot like saying your lowest recorded HR for the day. It usually happens and is best recorded before you get out of bed in the morning. Unless you wear it while you sleep or put it on before you get up you not likely to get your most accurate RHR. It is also time stamped when the recording that is the lowest was made. I put mine on the charger at night so I don't get a true RHR reading. You can see all you HR recordings by hitting Show All Data.
