Hey guys. I'm on the fence about whether or not I want an iPad, so I'm thinking of ordering one online. I know the wait will be a while, so I had a thought that I could purchase a first gen iPad and use it for a little while to see if I like it. If not, I'd return it and cancel my online order (since there's no hope of it shipping in the next week or so). And if I do find that I like the iPad, I would return the first gen model that I bought and patiently await the iPad 2.

I recently read that Apple and Best Buy both have no restocking fees for returned items. Does this include items that were opened? I thought it did at first (why would they charge a restocking fee for an unopened item?) but I've found conflicting info online. I'm not trying to scam anybody, I just thought this would be a good way for me to see if an iPad would fit well into my daily routine. Any thoughts on this?
