Restocking fee (UK)

Hello,
I am considering the purchase of a Macbook Pro 17" but are unsure of how practical the screen size will be under normal use, ie on lap.
Is it possible in the UK to purchase the item from a store and then return it within 14 days at no cost.
I did hear that Apple scrapped the UK re-stocking fee but I am not sure so I am really looking for anyone's first hand experience!

There's no restocking fee in Apple stores as far as I'm aware
