I recently was having issues with my Accounts panel. To fix it I had to use Terminal to delete a corrupted user account. However, in the process, I deleted the users "_unknown" and "nobody" which I've since discovered actually perform certain tasks for the system. I just wanted to know if the computer would automatically restore those users when it came time for them to perform their tasks. If they won't be restored automatically, I have a Time Machine backup from last night that I can use to do a full system restore, but I'd prefer not to do that unless it's absolutely necessary.

I'm running Snow Leopard.

UPDATE:
I waited overnight to see if they would restore themselves, and they did not (but that may not have been a long enough wait). However, I was able to restore them by simply reinstalling Snow Leopard.
