I am planning to sell my faithful iMac which has been serving me for almost 3 years now, and use for the time being only my Macbook. My iMac runs 10.5.7 and backed up into a time machine disk.
My plan is to reinstall the macbook, and than restore the iMac user account with Migration Assistant. I also plan to use this opportunity to upgrade the Macbook to 10.6 (freshly bought this morning...
). Question is do I restore the user account and data (coming from a 10.5.7 machine) after or before the OS X upgrade. My sense tells me after, but my habit is to do an OS upgrade on a fresh install....
Any ideas, experience??
