Hi Guys!

Long story short. I have a jailbroken iphone 4. I did a full reset on the phone (big mistake) and the phone wont past booting. Trying to restore to 4.0.1 but, itunes says "device not eligible bla bla".

I had press the button on cydia for "make my life easier", but never copy any file.

I tried changing the hosts (on a mac and pc) with no success:

- on the mac: same itunes message
- on pc: unknown error 3014

Is this working for everybody else? Is there another solution or do I have to upgrade to 4.0.2?

Thanks

Download tinyumbrella and request the 4.0.1 SHSH hash from Cydia.

If it can't retrieve one, then it was not saved within timeframe Apple was still signing it. Thus, you won't be able to restore to 4.0.1. Your only option is 4.0.2.

If you can retrieve your hash, put tinyumbrella into TSS server mode and restore iTunes with 4.0.1 firmware file you downloaded.

Thanks. I jailbroke it two days ago, so it seems that cydia didn't save it. going for 4.0.2 and wait for next jb. is coming soon for the iphone4?

Not likely. With 4.1 on the horizon the dev team will likely wait for 4.1 to work on another jailbreak.

Now that we know the jb era is over, i wonder, can i restore my jb iphone 4 4.01 bb 01.59 back to original fw, then upgrade to ios5 and find a good WORKING turbosim/simunlock method?
If so, what simunlock do you recommend?
