Restore Apple Playlists

I stupidly deleted all the Apple Playlists in the music app, you know the ones that are like "Recently Added" and "90s Music." I want to get them all back. I tried to make them using iTunes but even though the smart playlist shows up in iTunes in the "On My Device" sidebar, it isn't showing up in the app. Is there anyway I can get these playlists back on my phone? Is there anyway I can just "reset" the entire app to default? I was thinking of formatting the phone but I'm afraid if I do that when I connect to iCloud it'll restore from it and I'll be back to square one. Any help would be highly appreciated.
